What could be done to minimize road-rage that’s spreading enormously these days ?

Just take today’s newspaper or any other day. It’s not surprising to find some or the other news about someone killing a person or people fighting in groups just for as petty matters as giving side on road. Violence on road is increasing day-by-day..especially in India. I guess this is because people suppress there everyday frustration about professional or personal lives inside themselves and then spill it out on those strangers. I think appropriate steps should be taken to minimize this. But the question is that what could be those steps ?

  1. I think if governments all over the world, not just in India consisted of not politicians but actual researchers, scientists, social structuralists and brains, we'd solve alot of problems not just road rage. Goverments r only about power, control and money and not building a better lifestyle. If I lived in a country where I felt protected and served, I'd gladly give way to others instead of racing before that light turns red. That's what it boils down to.It's true wat you said Ney, people let out their frustrations on strangers. Why? 'Cause we're suffocated to death with dis-satisfaction and 'grab all u can get' attitude.

  5. "Here in India, people r just luking for an xcuse to kill each other" i agree with this.. when we take above example.. these are the possible reasons for fight1.May be conductor may asked the commuter in rash way.. which irritated and made him to bang conductor2.Due to lots of tension people experiencing now a days , may be triggered this fight…3.may be both the persons are youth..[:)]…anywayz i pity on conductor, will pray in god for his speedy recovery from injuries and get back to wrk he he he he [:D]..But what we can infer from this is due to small reason people get so anger lose their control and just go to fight each other..which is a adverse effect on societyAt last i will suggest both the guys to watch anger management movie and learn some tips from that he he he he he [:D]

  6. Today is 29th march. This happened some 4-5 dayz back. It was morning time. I and my friend were travelling to office by bus. Both of us were sitting on the front seat. She took her ticket. Then my turn came. I too took and sat relaxed. I started looking out of the window. Suddenly I felt some strange movement and sounds coming from the left of the seats of we two. That is, from the passage between the rows of seats. The conductor and a passenger were fighting. And the reason was the most obvious one – MONEY. Huh !!! I later on came to know that it was something like the passenger had first asked the conductor to wait. It seems when the conductor asked again the boy challenged him saying "nahi deta ! kya kar lega tu !" And they both starting punching each other. When i had taken my eyes to them…both of them were fighting like they both will kill each other today. It was when the people around made them calm, that the fight stopped. And the nose of the conductor kept bleeding for a long time after that. Police also came but within no time the matter got solved. And though i am not sure but i guess the passenger wasnt punished even. He was left free as far as i know. Though not confirm.I mean what the hell yaar !!!Why do some people refuse to pay even the fixed and the deserved amount to the conductor. One can even understand the rage if the conductor asks for xtra money. But why such fights if the conductor is doing his duty yaar !!! And why this violence at all ??This is not at all fair !!!In such situation alwez a dialogue from the movie 'Rang de Basanti' strikes to my mind. It was delivered by the character Soo (the girl from Britain) during a fight scene in the movie and it goes like -" Here in India, people r just luking for an xcuse to kill each other "I 101 % agree to the fact !!Whatsay you ???

  7. well i guess the steps are like both sides of the same coin government has to make strict norms also plus they have to tighten up the security measures while also the people have to awake from their long dormancy.they need to look into the matter more seriously!!also i think the rising population is also a big factor to ever increasing nonsense as more people more unemployment, more illiteracy etc etc there is no end to this vicious circle.

  8. Usually victms of road rage are common pedestrians. We can prevent this by building foot bridges and crossings.Next a strict rule has to be made to follow lane discipline.major cause for road rage is consumption of alchohal by drivers while driving. So,strict law has to be made like cancelling of Driving licence etcNext banning talking in cell phone while driving
